They were very helpful, and friendly when my husband passed. I had no idea what i was doing and was distraught throughout the process of them helping me, and they were always very kind and understanding. Just really nice people.
I could not think of a worse person to operate in this capacity than the owner who met with us to discuss the quote my father was given only 2 months prior to his death in Jan of 2018. Evidently, a live Veteran gets a discount but a dead one does not so the $160 waived on the quote (the one that says GUARANTEED at the top) did not apply to my father after he died. You also evidently pay more if your loved one passes on a weekend as well. I felt like I was over a barrel and they 'had me' until I could hardly stand the egomaniacal attitude and condescending manner my father's funeral needs were being tended to and I refused to discuss the matter any further with the owner. He actually said, "You should take your father elsewhere". Like pack him in salt? Are we on a JackAss episode taping? I thought about it for a moment and actually thought my brother was going to stand up and cause a 'Clean up, Aisle 7, bring the mop'. We departed (not in the same way Dad did) and instead had him handled by Stratford Evans in Merced (who actually matched the discounted price without my asking). Avoid similar pain and seek final arrangements elsewhere.
